From the book description, ‘In A Drinking Life, Hamill explains how alcohol slowly became a part of his life, and how he ultimately left it behind.’ The main theme of the book was the slow and dark destruction of alcohol in the author’s life. The theme sets a gloomy tone for a strong design direction.

Setting the tone for ‘A Drinking Life’ by using typography in a faint and delicate way. I used a thin typeface with lower case letters to convey compassion and seriousness.
